A Higher Power
You may believe in God but finding the Higher Power that works for your recovery may take time and even imagination.
The Golden Key
There are days in recovery when we are emotional and frustrated and no matter how we try, nothing changes. Here is a another tool for your toolbox. Try "The Golden Key"! I republish it every now and then to remind myself I can always use a bit more help.
The Dime Story
This is one of the articles I publish annually. There are times when we turn our lives over to our Higher Power but we lack the absolute trust He hears us. This is not just a story but an "activity" for anyone who is feeling spiritually alone. If you are sincere, you will be truly amazed! Try it!
New Year's resolutions are passe but focusing on a meaningful mantra to live by is not. If you haven't thought about adding anything new to your repertoire of words to live by, try these....embrace life!
After the Obsession is Lifted
Alcohol is but a symptom and our defects may live longer than we anticipate. A single defect may be big enough to force us into a "moral" relapse and require professional help.
Believe in Coincidence?
Is it coincidence or my Higher Power´s plan? How can you possibly know the difference? I celebrate another year of freedom. This time from nicotine. Everything is possible with God's help.
Step 1 - Reclaiming your Power
No matter what method we use to begin recovery we must look at why we just couldn´t quit in the first place. This is a reminder for those already in a 12 Step program and an invitation for those not yet in recovery to learn more.
A New Year Thank You
Another year.... Thanks to all of you who have kept me trudging the road to happy destiny in 2012.
Toast of the Season
The holiday season is a joyous one. We have to make social decisions that are right for us and that does not mean we can't be a part of the celebration. We have to know what we will and will not accept in terms of socializing in sobriety.
Step Twelve is the last of the steps but marks a new beginning for us. We have found faith but now we have to prove that faith through service to anyone in need.
