Still More Program Changes
I had so much fun writing about the new program changes that amount to nothing new in my book, that I thought I would complete the trilogy this week with an article focusing on the rest of the information I have related to the changes.

More Program Changes
In my last article, I focused on the name changes that will be in place in the Fall of 2008. Alongside those changes, GSUSA has announced some other change, albeit nothing as tangible as the name changes. This article will focus on the "new" leadership philosophy.

Programming Changes in 2008
I have been a member of Girl Scouts for a long time, close to 30 years at this point. I have been involved as a girl, a volunteer, a leader, a member of the service unit, and a parent. Over those years, the program has changed, and it is set to change again in Fall 2008.

Heaven Welcomes a Green Angel
A month ago, while my husband and I were traveling to celebrate my big 4-0, a fellow Girl Scout leader passed away unexpectedly. Her death left me reeling. She was a Junior leader, a mother of twins, and a friend.

The Manners Try It
One of the things I can do as editor of this site is view the terms individuals have used as search terms. Recently, "manners try it" came up as a search term twice. Based on that, I thought I would share what my troop did for that Try It.

Making Lemonade with Lemons
Two of the lifelong lessons I learned from Girl Scouts was tenacity and a "can do" attitude. Recently, I have been frustrated by a number of errors beyond my control that were impinging on my girlsī happiness.

Setting the Right Example -- To be Fair
One of the most important things you can do as a leader is set a good example. There is a lot of training out there to help you be a leader, but, in my opinion, all that you need to know is in the Girl Scout Promise and Law.

Celebrating Juliette Low's Birthday
The birthday of the founder of Girl Scouts, Juliette Gordon Low, falls on the popular American holiday of Halloween.

For Girls, By Girls, About Girls
Last week I received a letter wanting to know why we didnīt let the girls plan their Brownie activities.

Planning a Semester of Brownie Activities
Last week I outlined the activities that are planned for my daughter's Junior troop, so this week, I thought I'd do the matching article and outline what the Brownie troop has planned.
