There are a few points that we should cover to make your life easier. Buy and Sell Flash Components Many sites are dedicated to the buying and selling of Flash components. These sites are community-based and allow their members to upload, share and sell components. Nesting Movie Clips for Complex Animations Flash and Motion Tweens are a great combination for easily creating animation. But how do you create more complex animations such as adding a walking cycle to a moving character? One way would be to use nested movie clips. Let´s take a look at a simplified example.
Controlling the Alpha Property for Fade-in Effect In this tutorial, we will program a fade-in effect for a movie clip as it is added to the Display List. We will tell Flash to increase the Alpha for the movie clip progressively until the movie clip is 100% visible. Remove Movie Clip with ActionScript 3 Now that we programmed Flash to move our movie clip from the Flash Library and place it on the stage, we can work on the ActionScript that will close this movie clip. The easiest way is to create a Close button and add ActionScript to go with it that will remove our movie clip from the stage. Add Library Items to Stage – Flash ActionScript 3 In this tutorial, our goal is to load and run a movie clip with ActionScript. But, the movie clip is not on the stage when the website is loaded. It is stored in the Flash Library. Flash CS3 Motion Tween Slide In Effect Many fancy Flash intros use the slide-in special effect. This effect requires that the image or object have a starting position off of the stage and move onto the stage with a Motion Tween. In this tutorial, we will do just that. Foundation ActionScript 3 with Flash CS3 and Flex In this book, Steve Webster, Todd Yard and Sean McSharry go one step further and help the readers to extend their ActionScript skills for both Flash and Flex. Invisible Buttons in Flash We will create an invisible button in Flash CS3. We will not be using a graphic as a button. Instead we will create a hot zone over the spot on the stage that we want our invisible button to function. Foundation Flash CS3 for Designers – Book Review The approach taken by Tom Green and David Stiller in this book is to teach Flash CS3 from a designer's point of view. The authors have made a great effort to use fun and interesting examples for each topic-based chapter to make learning Flash almost painless for the designer and artist.
