Starting a Home Yoga Practice
However you come to yoga you are going to eventually want to start a home yoga practice. When you are setting up a home yoga practice there are two basic areas of structure: practicality and reasoning; and inner yoga. Here are some tips that I hope will harmonize both areas for you.

To experience a relaxing, calming space during yoga practice there are a variety of methods used to help you get there. One such practice is guided visualization which is great for reducing stress, tension, and anxiety. Try this actual guided meditation and enjoy the wonderful experience.

B.K.S. Iyengar Brought Life to Yoga
Indian yoga guru B.K.S. Iyengar died August 20, 2014 at the age of 95. He helped popularize yoga around the world as a teacher and author of 14 books on the subject. This is not another obituary but a simple look at his life with Yoga.

This type of yoga is called Kum Nye (Koom Nyay. Kum Nye brings many wonderful benefits such as rest from mental and emotional stress; counteraction of stiffness and rigidity while providing muscle tone; increased circulation of the blood; and the ultimate benefit of total relaxation.
