Thirty Day Sun Salutation Challenge
Welcome to a "Thirty Day Sun Salutation Challenge" I invite everyone to join me in this challenge. All it takes is one Sun Salutation a day. This is such a great way to practice yoga regularly, learn new Sun Salutations, and have fun encouraging each other.

The Basics of Kriya Yoga
The basics of Kriya Yoga are represented as reaching back to the beginning of yogic life itself. The basic practice of Kriya Yoga is a union between pranayama (breathing) and meditation. Many different pranayama techniques are included in the practices which seek to hasten spiritual growth.

Inhale and Exhale During Yoga
Your breath is in tandem with the yoga postures that you practice. Each pose has the same distinct pattern and once you have practiced yoga for awhile you will feel the pattern emerge. Here are several examples to practice your breathing with the pose.

Friday Yoga Sequence
By the end of the work week you may be ready for a restful, calming yoga experience. This is a seated sequence with some forward bends and a few restorative poses that will provide the ultimate relaxation.

Many things can be considered as yoga practice. One of the goals of practicing yoga is to find a place of peace within you. It can be anything that allows your mind to relax and stay in a state of calmness. When your mind is in this state it is open to the divine within you.

In yoga the poses we perform are called asanas. No posture is assumed mechanically, rather they involve a great deal of body awareness, concentration, listening to your instructor, breathing, and eventually balance of mind, body and breath.

This short yoga sequence is next in a week of yoga sequences. Thursday’s sequence is based on poses that are beneficial for the 3rd Chakra the Solar Plexus.
