The Importance of Sharing
Sharing is one of the most important aspects of recovery. Here are a few ways you can share your message.
The Intervention Book
I have talked about my book before but have never actually written about what it is all about. Someone else has and I am delighted to have you read his review.
The Joy of the Season
The holiday season is special to us. It is a time to remember and a time to be in gratitude. We are so blessed to be where we are today and we are exactly where we are supposed to be.
The Lesser of Two Evils
Most of us have more than one addiction but the addiction to nicotine not only seems the most common but is one of the most difficult to get rid of. If you smoke maybe it is time to make a decision for YOU.
The Light Side of Recovery
Recovery doesn't always have to be a serious business. You can find an easier, softer way to recognize how far you have come in recovery if you look at the lighter side of life.
The List and Living Amends
No matter how many times we read and share about the 12 Steps, there is always something new. Sometimes it is just a new thought and other times it is a real awakening. More is always revealed to us.
The Media and Addiction
Perhaps when we are in recovery we evaluate more closely how the media, particularly TV, addresses addictions. Fortunately, not everything is negative.
The Next Right Thing
When we have been around the fellowship long enough, we believe we have heard every phrase, story, and acronym around. And then we hear one that, for whatever reason, resonates deep within. I am amazed at how a few words can provide a different way of looking at my life.
The Only Requirement Is....
12 Step Recovery programs do not have rules. It suggests the 12 Steps if we are serious about recovering. There is only one requirement to be a member of AA (and other 12 step programs)and no one but you can make that decision.
The Recovery Boat
We are given tools that become lifelines to our success in recovery but we must use them all of the time. When we don't, these lines break and put us in real danger.
