Phileo is the Greek word for love that describes friendship or that warm feeling or strong preference we have for certain people. Love is an incredibly powerful word. Receiving it gives us a sense of well-being, self-worth, optimism, and can even improve health.

As mothers or grandmothers, our role in the life of a child is short. Make it count. We continue our visit with the women of the Bible with two women who knew what was important.

After reading this book, I’ll think of worship in a different light. Dennis has a warm and friendly way of writing, making his book very easy to read as he shares his insight into worship as God desires it.

Many of us have memorized the Lord´s Prayer. Author David Timms takes us along a different path with a study of it as a foundation for living.

There are a set of practices that are associated with the Christian religion, but I think my Christian belief encompasses much more that a set of practices or rules of behavior.

"Be holy because I am holy." In thinking about this command; taking in the full scope of it, I see that it is no easy task.

Under appreciated mothers everywhere, take heart in the fact that you each have a divine purpose in God’s plan and that He knows your names. (new page added)

This book is a story of a woman and her family battling life treatening disease. I was impressed and encouraged by the faith, courage and even the spiritual struggles that the letters reveal.

The Book of Esther shows how God cares for His people and the importance of trust and acting in faith, even when we don’t understand His reasoning.
