FamilySearch is adding FREE new images quite often. Make sure you check back to see what is new. The new images can be distinguished between the records already there by the *Asterick star. Here is what is newly added as of March 30, 2011.

The FamilySearch Record group has been a great addition to FREE online research records. You can search millions of indexed records for your ancestors. Records are frequently being updated. When you go to the FamilySearch site, new and/or updated records to the site are noted by a red *.

FamilySearch has long been known to have great genealogical data for vital records. Their digital collection has exploded, and more researchers are guided to this great resource. Their Learning Center has a great source of educational material. Come learn more!

Part two of my review of Family Tree Maker 2009© (FTM 2009) includes features in the Web Search, Places and Media workspaces. FTM expanded the Web Search feature with more databases on a manual basis, either paid for or free. FTM still searches the Ancestry database for results.
