Before we start the new year, it is only appropriate to reflect on your accomplishments for the year. For some, 2007 was the year in which belly dance was introduced into a woman´s life, others continued to grow in the dance, and professional belly dancers continued to shine.

Houston, Texas was home to a workshop conducted by professional belly dancer, Sandra. It was nice to spend the weekend with such a talented belly dancer.

Mata Hari was known as the exotic dancer, who was later executed for being a spy, but little is known of her contribution to dance.

The traditional question that seems to make its way once a year, is answered in hundreds of ways. Everyone answers with family and friends. Dancers are no different, but about the art of dance, yes, we are thankful.

Around this time of year, we get caught up with more than we can handle. Most belly dancers deal with a full time job and family. We have to make time to belly dance. With all of this, it is a wonder how we manage to deal with the extra holiday activities.
