I was so thrilled to learn that Gabriela was going to perform at this event. Houston, Texas has talented belly dancers, but Gabriela stands out above the rest.

Yes, that´s right. Your feet are often ignored because your entire body rests on them. Just because your feet allow the rest of your body to be free, doesn´t mean everything is great; your feet need attention.

When that moment comes for you to perform, you are more likely to be nervous. All the practice, long hours of perfecting your routine, and finally, it is time! Nevertheless, one thing that should never be ignored, is an empty tummy.

On September 6, 2008, Destination Cairo performed at the HABDA Gala. It was a night filled with excellent performances by many beautiful dancers. Destination Cairo, the dance troupe that I belong to, performed to a fun, energetic song called "Hep Hup Remix" by Yeni Mezdeke.
