Watching the award shows and hearing what gets played on the radio has brought a few questions to mind when it comes to country music. Are artists better off on a small independent label or a major record label?

Has CMT gone too far with their “Most Shocking..” series? I have enjoyed most of the shows in this series and this past weekend I watched “Most Shocking Small Town Secrets”

Living in Houston I’m lucky enough to be able to attend some of the best concerts at a reasonable price during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, tonight was no exception. Clay Walker did a great job right out of the chute.

Country music artists are just like anyone else, they love the music of the season. Some write their own songs, some like the old standards. So load up the CD player and enjoy the music!

Chris LeDoux is described by those who knew him as a talented, kind man. From all accounts the world is a sadder place with the loss of this singer, song writer and former rodeo champion.

The final day of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo was the day I got to see Brooks and Dunn again! What a great show.
