Wearing a hearing aid and Cochlear Implant
When cochlear implants were first available only one ear was implanted. However, the importance of creating the hearing experience to be as close to normal as possible is recognised. Cochlear implantees are encouraged to use a hearing aid in their unimplanted ear.
