Accessible Designs for Schools
The most popular designs for public schools may already be outdated while school districts are promoting buildings that have few if any elements of universal design. They rarely consider the need for accessibility by those with mobility challenges who work, volunteer or are educated in schools.
Accessible Designs in Playgrounds and Play Areas
Children with physical disabilities should have accessible playgrounds in their communities and schools. We find great designs in accessible playgrounds and play areas in communities of all sizes, and we can also learn from the shortcomings we find in our own neighborhoods and local schools
Accessible Playgrounds & Inclusive Play Areas

ADHD Medications and Treatment Options
Medications for children and adults with ADHD/ADD, herbal supplements, substituting positive behavior for bad habits, and helping them learn impulse control and focus their concentration
Adoption and Childhood Disabilities
Information, support and encouragement should be available to adoptive and foster parents equally with birth parents who are raising children with disabilities. Overwhelmed adoptive parents, step-parents and foster parents who release the children in their care do not come to that decision easily.
Adoption by Gay or Lesbian Parents
Adoption or foster care of babies and children with disabilities by gay or lesbian parents requires attention to be paid to the issues that may otherwise create greater challenges during childhood.
