Louis Latour d'Ardèche Chardonnay

A big, beautiful Chardonnay.

During the past weeks I have offered white wines for those tired of Chardonnay. "But, I like Chardonnay!" some of you cried. I understand, I too enjoy a good, rich style Chardonnay. So, this week I offer you the Louis Latour d'Ardèche Chardonnay.

It has delicious green apple flavors, ripe fruit, and oaky notes. It is a beautiful golden color. But, it's not overdone with just the right amount of acidity. The medium finish is appropriate to this wine. Try this wine with grilled meats. I was daring and served it with a grilled ribeye steak. It worked well. Serve well chilled (about 55F).

Côteaux de l'Ardèche region is located in France's famed Rhône valley. The clay soil offers a perfect home for the Chardonnay grape.

Special from Geerlings & Wade!
