Kensingtonīs New Brava Line

Hello, and welcome back! I hope you all had a great holiday weekend and have made it through tax time without too much stress. And hopefully you got a little bit of time to spend with a good book as well.
I mentioned some time ago that Kensington was starting a new line of more erotic romances, called Brava. The first release was Bertrice Smallīs latest in her OīMalley family series, back in February, and while I really loved the story--as I normally love all of her books--it didnīt really fall into my personal definition of erotic romance, and for Ms. Small, it was rather tame. Iīm keeping my fingers crossed that her next one goes back to burning-fingers-on-the-pages-hot. This month, however, the second title in the Brava line is out, and boy, is it hot!

Thea Devineīs latest is called Seductive
Seductive
and thatīs very fitting. Nicholas Massey is returned from the dead. Sort of. And his reappearance upsets Elizabethīs orderly life, because he is the heir to her late husbandīs estate and title. But someone wants him dead, and the someone is among Elizabethīs family and friends. It might even be Elizabeth, whom heīs blackmailing into his bed. While you might figure out whodunit before you reach the end, in my opinion, the romance and erotic tension between Nicholas and Elizabeth more than make up for that. Iīm giving this one four of Cupidīs five arrows--though I believe the arrows this week are flaming, this book is so hot. Iīve met Ms. Devine at a couple conferences now, including last fallīs Romantic Times Convention, and sheīs a delight to talk with. Iīm looking forward to getting to chat with her again at this yearīs RT in Orlando in November about her books.

And for future reference, Ms. Devine has a novella in the planned fall anthology for the Brava line which is titled "All Through the Night." This is the first contemporary anthology from the line and includes novellas from Suzanne Forster and Lori Foster as well. But one of the next releases will be an authorīs version of "Awaken My Love" by Robin Schone. For those of us whoīve read and kept the original version, this one will have scenes that were cut by the publisher first time around (Kensington is a new publisher for Ms. Schone), so weīll have to run out and buy a copy of the new version to compare to the old. Another upcoming release will be from Susan Johnson. Kensington is snapping up the best and brightest of the erotic romance authors, and I canīt wait to see what else theyīll have for us soon.

Until next week, happy reading!
