Romance Resolutions

Hello and welcome back! I hope youŽve recovered from the week-long festivities. And now itŽs time to start fresh for the new year. Most of us make resolutions each year. How many of you included your reading in your resolutions for the next year? To read more? To try new authors? To write to a favorite author? Well, youŽre in the right place to find some things to help keep the first two of those resolutions, but youŽre on your own for the last one. IŽll just tell you how many authors IŽve heard who say they love to hear from their readers, how it touches them to know they might have made a difference in someoneŽs life. Think about that.

To help you keep the first of those resolutions, I can promise lots more romance reviews for the coming year. IŽve already got a pile of January releases sitting here beside my desk, including the latest from Catherine Coulter, "The Scottish Bride." IŽll share that with you next week, though. I even have a February release from J.M. Jeffries here, and even though I canŽt share with you for a few more weeks, IŽll just tell you now youŽd better get your hands on it when it comes out. And rumor has it Diana GabaldonŽs next installation in the Outlander series is due sometime this year. As you can see, youŽll have no reason not to keep this resolution.

As for the second of those resolutions, I can also tell you youŽll be seeing some of those here in the next twelve months, including Sue-Ellen Welfonder, whose first book, a wonderful Scotland-set romance is due out late this summer. WeŽre hoping to schedule a chat or at least an interview with Sue-Ellen, along with a review of the book. I even have a new author in my January releases pile. There will be no excuse to let that resolution fall by the wayside either.

IŽm afraid I canŽt help with the personal resolutions, like the weight loss/exercise more; or be nice to the in-laws, no matter what. For those, youŽre on your own. But stop by each week for help with the others.

Until next week, happy reading!
