Bootie Beer is a new low carb entry on the market. It's explicitly aimed at the young, hip market, hence the name. It's got 2.6g carbs per 12oz bottle.
The beer is very light in color - and also very light in flavor. It has a nice hint of bitter to it - nothing very strong. Some people may of course find this to be perfect. Other people might find this to be too mild for their tastes.
I had this with a grilled salmon dish - and the lightness went very well. It's just like with any other drink, you match the weight of the drink to what you are eating.
I have only found this at a speciality beer pub near me - one that has literally hundreds of beers for sale. This might mean that Bootie Beer is nearly impossible for you to find at your local store.
The Boootie Beer website claims you can get the beer at places like 7-11. You might want to scout around your area and see what you can find. If you can't find it, ask at your local wine store, and see if they can bring some in!
