One of my favorite things about the papercrafting industry is that every time I turn around there are wonderful new products to add to my stash. (Another excuse to buy, right?) Here’s a look at some of the newest products on the market.

Quick Quotes has introduced fabulous Powder Puff Ink in yummy colors like Mango Mai Tai, Purple Passions and Pink Martini.
These inks are designed to be used on canvas, chipboard and torn paper edges to add gorgeous color your papercrafting elements. They are available individually (MSRP $2.75) or in a set of 12 (MSRP ($27.50). I used Banana Bliss and Amaretto to color and distress these elements from their Big Honkin’ Canvas Shapes line.

I just swished the inkpad across the canvas, inked the edges in the darker shade and added some fibers to make quick and trendy additions to my scrapbooks or cards. I first became aware of Quick Quotes for their wonderful line of quotes and poems printed on vellum. Since then they have expanded into all sorts of canvas products, papers and accessories.


Creation Station offers consumers the chance to make impressive, handmade looking cards with out a lot of fuss or time. The Paper Dames line features card kits with a full line of stickers, a card, envelope and confetti. (MSRP $5.00-$6.50) All you really need to do is add the stickers to the card and write your message. I can never leave well enough alone, so I stamped a greeting on a piece of white cardstock, adhered it to the card front, tore a piece of green velum and folded the edge over the top. I adhered the vellum to the back of the card. I then added a green satin bow and the adorable ballerina stickers form the kit.
I still have enough stickers to make another card!


Hot Off The Press is one of the premier companies in the papercrafting industry. Everything they turn out seems to be exactly on trend, and their newest line of Decorated Brads is no exception. These delightful brads are a perfect example of the “ cute” trend that is gaining momentum (not cutesy, as we had in years past). Jack-O-Lanterns, Christmas Trees, Gingerbread Men, Christmas Stockings, Christmas Presents and Christmas Mugs complete the selections.

I think I’ll use the Gingerbread Men brads to make the tags for the cookie plates for my Holiday Cookie Exchange. They’re sure to be a hit with my friends!
