Many people who read this review won't want ANY of their pleasure spoiled so I won't go into any plot spoilers here. The book is of course about Harry Potter's fifth year at Hogwarts, a boarding school for young magicians. Harry is getting older and wiser. When he began the first book, he was a youngster of 10, raised under the harsh thumb of his grumpy aunt and uncle. By this book, he's a full fledged teenager, thinking about girls, having fits of anger, and wondering why the adults around him aren't treating him more like the adult he is becoming.
The book definitely trips along and becomes one of those books that you can't put down. Of course at 870 pages this makes for a VERY long evening of reading, but I know many people (including myself) that finished it off within a day because they didn't want to stop part way through.
