Jack and Jill and Big Dog Bill – Book Review

A Step into Reading Phonics “ready to read” Level 1 book about a boy, girl and a dog outside in the snow.

Jack and Jill and Big Dog Bill by Martha Weston.

It’s a wintery day in this little STEP onto READING Phonicsbook . Luckily they have a big dog to pull them up the hill. They stop at the top, but Big Dog Bill sees a rabbit hopping by and gives chase. It’s down the hill they go!

BUMP. PLOP. They all stop.

They get pulled up the hill again and once again a rabbit hops by and Big Dog Bill gives chase. They want him to pull them up again but he says “Woof” and that means no. So Jack and Jill put Big Dog Bill on the toboggan and pull him up the hill. It’s another disaster when that rabbit hops by again.
