The first is
Seduction by Nicole Jordan (Ivy). Lord Damien Sinclair is a most infamous rake. Vanessa Wyndham is a not-so-bereaved widow, whose brother had the bad fortune to annoy Damien by causing injury to his sister. In order to keep Damien from taking possession of her brotherīs estate, Vanessa agrees to become Damienīs mistress. Though wary of his motives, she moves into his house under the pretense of caring for his paralyzed sister. Damien is a most persuasive sort, though, and sexy as all get-out. The trouble is, heīs not the sort of man Vanessa wants to wed. A secondary romance between Damienīs sister Olivia and Vanessaīs brother Aubrey adds sweetness to this otherwise spicy romp through Regency England. Damien is a man I wouldnīt mind meeting myself. Of Cupidīs five arrows, Iīm giving this one three and a half. I look forward to reading more of Ms. Jordanīs books.
The second book I read this week is "Sun Hawk" by Cassie Edwards (Signet). I have to admit not being overly fond of Indian romances as a rule. This story has an appealing angle, however: a heroine who is an Indian chief. Summer Hope is snatched by trappers, then rescued by Sun Hawk, whoīd been adopted by the Ojibwa Indians after his family was killed. This book chronicles their journey from a battling pair who disagree about what will happen to their respective tribes, to a man and woman in love, who must overcome outside forces and their own inner turmoil to be together. Iīm borrowing three of Cupidīs arrows for this one.
See you next week.
