The study tracked 392 women in Sweden as part of a general aging study done with women and men between the ages of 70 and 88. There were relatively few men in the study, so no conclusions could be drawn about a relationship of weight and Alzheimer's for men.
While many may equate Alzheimer's with a lower body weight, researchers say that much of that comes on after the disease has set in.
