The three books in this series, "The Baby Bequest," "Bringing Up Babies," and "Oh, Babies!" follow the Brewster brothers, Evan, Chas and Grant, as they take in their fatherīs triplets after his death and detail their struggle to keep the babies with them and out of the hands of their fatherīs lawyer. The first story is Evanīs, "The Baby Bequest." Before his fatherīs death, he and his brothers knew nothing about their infant siblings. Now, along with the babies, comes their fatherīs assistant, Claire Wilson. These two throw sparks from their first meeting, and itīs obvious to everyone but them that theyīre perfect for each other. But for Evan, a personal loss other than his father keeps him from giving in to his feelings for Claire, and from seeing the damage heīs doing to her heart. Of course, he realizes the error of his ways in time.
The second story is Chasīs, "Bringing Up Babies." Chas has been the bad boy of the brothers and is still recovering from his past mistakes. Lily Andersen has some healing of her own to do and figured the best way to do it was to get away from home and spread her wings. Her new job as nanny for the Brewster triplets has her in constant contact with Chas, and the heat between them is scorching! Their relationship presents a bit of a challenge to both, and for a while puts the guardianship of the triplets in question. Fortunately for all involved, Chas sees the light.
Grant gets the last story, "Oh, Babies!" Kristen Devereaux arrives in the midst of a wedding and in the confusion, isnīt able to tell the Brewster brothers who she really is. By the time they learn the truth, she and Grant are already involved. Unfortunately, both are proud and have real trouble opening up and trusting, particularly Grant after he finds out her secret. This is a wonderful love story! This series rates a four out of Cupidīs five arrows, definitely a keeper with realistic characters and great stories. The only trouble is that we have to wait until later this year for Abbyīs--the waitress in the local diner--story, and I suspect itīs going to be another keeper. I canīt wait!
