Teen Artist Rose Falcon Gets Real

Rose Falcon, the 19-year-old singer-songwriter, whose self-titled debut album spawned an immediate hit with the song "Up Up Up" - the music video for the spirited pop song is in heavy rotation on the Disney Channel, and is featured on the Disney DVD Inspector Gadget 2, is releasing a new song that goes to the heart of her faith and causes her to get real with her listeners.

At the age of five, Rose lost her mother Myla to breast cancer. The loss of her mother made a profound impact on her life. One of her first songs, entitled "Best Friend," is a testament to her mother and what might have been.

"All I have is photographs/Put on her wedding ring/
Put in the tape of lullabies/The ones she used to sing/
To me/Donít cry/Baby"
- Rose Falcon, "Best Friend," Rose Falcon

Rose brings joy, pleasure and wonder to her music while addressing some of the toughest issues a young person can face. Her lyrics are an authentic depiction of life, capturing the times when it's good and the times when it hurts.
"I write about what I go through," says Rose. "I want my songs to be like friends you turn to because you know they'll understand you."
