The area is known for the Black Hills and the Badlands,home of the Great Sioux Nation. The Jackpine Gypsies was a local motorcycle club founded by J.C. "Pappy" Hoel, a local Indian motorcycle store owner. The rally that the Jackpine Gypsies started has grown since 1938, drawing a million people every year. There is a local motorcycle museum with the history of the Jackpine Gypsies as well as some vintage Harley and Indian motorcycles.
There are plenty of vintage and custom bikes as well as choppers. The best motorcycles in the world can be found here. There are loads of exhibitors and contests to win trophies. Of course, Indian has made a special limited edition Motorcycle called the "Chief T-3," from the movie "Terminator 3." Indian Motorcycles is synonymous with the Rally.
