Back to School Prayers

Few parents can send their children off to school without worrying. Will they fit in? Will they be happy? Will they understand the schoolwork? A parent only has to think about headlines of past years to worry over their safety.

In all the commotion of starting the new school year it is easy to forget a parent’s greatest power tool for caring for their kids - prayer.

Matthew 17:20 tells us that even a little bit of faith works miracles. Faith as small as a mustard seed will move a mountain.
In Mark 11:23,24 Jesus says that if we believe and do not doubt, whatever we ask for in prayer will be given even with bold things such as asking a mountain to throw itself into the sea.

Think about setting up a regular schedule of prayer for your children as they go back to school. If prayer has never been a habit of yours, there is no better time to start than now.

You want the best for your children. Don’t try to do it on your own and ask for the help that has always been there and then trust in God’s wisdom and power. In doing so, you will be teaching them that Jesus is Lord of your life, and not only assure them of a good school year but a victorious life.
