Eggs are a staple in most diets, because they are full of protein and energy, plus inexpensive and easy to make. Here are instructions on how to hard boil eggs.
Hard Boiling Eggs
Note that fresh eggs aren't best for boiling. If the eggs are a week or more old, they are much easier to peel.
Start with a large pan of cold water. Have enough to have a full inch of water over the top of your eggs. Add in the eggs and put on high heat.
When the water begins to boil, take the pot off the heat. Let sit for 20 minutes. Then run cold water over the eggs to cool them down. When they're cool, put them in the fridge.
Peeling Hard Boiled Eggs
Run cool water in the sink, and tap the egg against the sink side to get it cracking. Peel the eggs under the running water. The water will help lift up the shells once you get them peeling.
Boiled eggs will last about a week in the fridge, so it might be good to hang a little notepad on the front of the fridge with the date they went in.
