Caylee Anthony appears full of life in her photographs. She is a beautiful three-year-old girl with long soft golden brown hair and big brown eyes trusting and loving eyes. Yet, Caylee Anthony is missing and no one is sure for how long.

For over six months, Casey Anthony, who is Caylee’s 22-year-old mother, has been unable to tell authorities where the little girl resides. No one knows if the little girl is safe. Caylee’s photographs appear on multiple websites for missing children as well as every news channel almost daily.

The biggest mystery is when exactly she disappeared. The last time anyone saw Caylee alive was June 15 or Father’s Day of this year. There was a video and photographs from this day authorities obtained from a computer owned by Casey.

Casey’s stories have been conflicting, leading officials to suspect the little girl’s mother has something to do with her disappearance. One story Casey has told authorities is she had dropped her daughter off at the apartment of a babysitter. The babysitter named by Casey denies knowing the woman or her daughter, and the apartment is abandoned.

Cindy Anthony is Casey Anthony’s mother and Caylee's grandmother. She contacted police in July reporting her daughter had stolen her money and her car. She wanted her daughter arrested. Later the same day she again contacted police voicing concerns that her granddaughter Caylee was missing. That was July 15.

On the July 16, when police talked to Casey Anthony regarding her daughter's disappearance inconsistencies with her story surfaced. Police arrested Casey claiming she was hindering their investigation. Police were beginning to feel the investigation was turning into a homicide investigation versus a missing child case.

By mid October, Casey had a history of four separate arrests, including two arrests, which involve forgery, and stealing. She cannot post bail, and has officially been listed as a suspect in her child’s disappearance and charged with Caylee’s murder. Although, there was no physical evidence of Caylee’s death until this week, when a utility worker found a plastic bag with human child remains inside, on property owned by Caylee’s grandparents. DNA tests are pending for the positive identification of the child.

Forensic Specialists with the FBI in Quantico Virginia will perform an autopsy later this week to determine if this is indeed America’s lost child. So many people across our nation have searched for and prayed for Caylee’s safe return. No one will ever forget those big brown trusting eyes that clearly trusted her mother to protect her. I pray that Caylee is safe and warm in the soft wings of angels, where she can no longer be hurt.

Sadly, DNA tests identified the bones found as those of Caylee Anthony.
