If you're really craving chocolate and nothing but chocolate cookies will do, at least try a healthy cookie. The Oreo 100 Calorie Packs are better than the sugar-filled variety!
First, let me point out that this is NOT a zero calorie / zero carb kind of snack. It has 100 calories, with 2g of fat, but 0g of saturated fat and 0g of trans fat. There are 20g of carbs. So this is way better than "regular oreos", but certainly not a snack to eat 400 of in a day.
The bag has a good number of cookies - for the 20g you get a nice little packet of crunchy, six sided chocolate cookies. I hesitate to call these things "oreos" though. They are more like chocolate ginger snaps, maybe. There is a dusting of white stuff on top of them, which maybe is cream flavored? You can barely taste it.
I'm not saying these things are bad - they are really tasty! They're just not oreo tasting. Oreos are thick and very creamy. These things are chocolatey but light and crunchy.
If you are craving chocolate cookies or oreos, these are DEFINITELY much better for you. They're light, low fat, low calorie, low carb. In general though I recommend you try to ease yourself off of cookies. If you get addicted to cookies, and you can't happen to find a low carb version, you're likely to eat the sugar filled variety. Still, if you are weaning yourself off cookies - or just really crave something - this is just the ticket.
