Homeless Man Was Left To Die Inside Windshield

In October of last year, a 37-year-old homeless manīs body was found in Forth Worth Texasī Cobb Park, and the cause of his death was thought to have been that of a hit-and-run accident.

But in the last few weeks, it has been determined that the victim in question,
had been alive for nearly two or three days. The victim Gregory Glenn Biggs frantically begged for help from the driver Chante Mallard. Yet despite his continued cries to Mallard for assitance, it is alleged that she openly ignored him, and left him to slowly die from a loss of blood.

Gregory Glenn Biggs became trapped in Mallardīs windshield, after it was said, she literally went plowing into him while driving on a higway from her home. Biggsī head and torso became caught in the windshield of the car, as a result, of the speed and impact of the vehicle. Had the victim received proper medical attention in enought time, he wouldīve survived the hit and run, instead of dying the pitiful way that he did.

Since the manīs death resulted, not because it was a mere case of not stopping to aid an injured man, but more so because of Miss Mallardīs open refusal to get medical attention for someone who would still be alive today. The police arenīt looking at the case, as just another unfortunate hit and run, but more along the lines of a homicide.

Chante Mallard, 25, who is a nurseīs aide, was arrested this past Wednesday on an upgraded murder warrant. The case against Miss Mallard is solely due in part, to a confession she made some four months later, about an incident that happened very close to the junction off of East Loop 820 and U.S. 287 on a night in October.

On Friday, a judge increased the bond for the Chante Mallard to $250,000, instead of the meager $10,000 which she was released on after being arrested on Wednesday. The increase in her bond, which was done at the urging of Prosecutors, who felt that the amount was way to low. After listening to Tarrant County Assistant District Attorney, Richard Alpert, District Judge James Wilson decided to up Mallardīs bail bond to $250,000.

As soon as the hearing was over, Miss Mallard was again taken into custody, and she is presently back in jail at this time. The Tarrant County medical examinerīs office determined that the victim died from shock and a loss of blood. There was no evidence of any internal injuries either.

Mallard claimed to have been drinking heavily and taking drugs on the night that the hit and run happened. She even told a friend about the accident, and that friend in turn went to the police, which was the tip that authorities needed. A search warrant obtained for Mallardīs residence also provided the police with the proof they required to arrest the female suspect. Because besides the damaged Chevy Cavalier, which was sitting in the garage, invesitigators found physical evidence in the form of Biggsī hair, blood, and other important trace evidence both inside and outside the car.

Chante Mallardīs crime has been viewed as redefining the definition of inhumanity and has caused public outrage on a grandcale. Mallard faces a sentence of anywhere from five years to life in prison, if found guilty by her peers, for the untimely death of Gregory Glenn Biggs.

The investigation into Biggsī gruesome homicide is ongoing at this point in time, and other arrests are expected to be made as well, in connection to the very mean and insensitive crime itself. Even though a lot of details are now in dispute with regards to the manīs death.
