MTV’s 2nd Annual Video Music Awards Latin America was held at Miami's Jackie Gleason Theatre, and featured a diverse line-up of artists. The October 23 ceremony featured ground-breaking live performances and an unparalleled collaboration recognizing 10 years of Latin Music’s greatest tunes that influenced Latin youth culture. Mexico's famous movie star Diego Luna hosted the show.
Performing artists included Juanes, Ricky Martin, Andrea Echeverri, Alex Lora, Charly Alberti, Plastilina Mosh, Vicentico, and Jorge Gonzalez. Other featured performers were Natalia Lafourcade, La Ley, The Mars Volta, Alejandro Sanz, Korn, Dido, Cafe Tacuba, Ely Guerra, Gustavo Cerati, Control Machete, Iggy Pop and Sum 41.
The big winners were Molotov, Natalia Lafourcade and Juanes. Molotov dominated the event, winning four awards. Natalia Lafourcade won three and Juanes won two.

If you missed the live airing on October 23, 2003 then mark your calendars. The VMALAs will air again on MTV in the United States on November 1 at 11 PM ET. Also, the show is being made available to MTV's global network with a potential viewing audience of over one billion households.
