Book Review - Mythological Creatures Chinese Zodiac Origami

John Montroll enters the world of fantasy with his origami book on dragons, unicorns, the Chinese zodiac and other fun shapes!

No matter what Chinese zodiac animal you are - from rat to ox, horse to monkey, they're all here for you to fold. The shapes are quite nice looking, too. You won't have to spin the rabbit around 8 times to figure out which end goes up.

The mythological creatures are perfect for any fan of Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter. You have centaurs and griffins, pegasus and cerberus, dragons and unicorns. There's even a quite complex three headed dragon if you have the patience!

Do be warned, this isn't a book for beginners. Even the four easiest designs - the four suits for a deck of cards - aren't necessarily easy. A lot of these shapes involve three dimensional folding far more complex than a simple 'crease along the A-B line'.

Still, if you're good at origami, this might be the perfect addition to your library!
