Just follow a few simple steps.

- Body-building shampoo, conditioner, hair gel or mousse
- Flexable hold hair spray
- Hot rollers or hot sticks--Hot-sticks for more curl. My favorite rollers are Here
- Bobby pins
- Decorative pins or barrettes
- Shampoo your hair with body-building shampoo- even if you have lots of body in your hair! The only time you would not do this is if your hair is of "frizzy" texture. In this case, you will use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner.
- Apply a firm hold hair gel or mousse and turn your head upside down and blow your hair dry.
- Spray your hair lightly with a flexible hold hair spray.
- Set all of your hair with either the hot rollers or hot sticks. For a more natural look, use small sections and turn the rollers in random directions.
- For maximum curl, let the rollers cool completely before you remove them. Take them out carefully to avoid stretching out the curl.
- Run your fingers through your hair to loosen the curls. - Not too much!
- Using only your fingers, comb the front of your hair back from your face and use two or three bobby pins to hold it back, allowing the ends of the curls to fall over and conceal the pins.
Grab a piece of hair at the side and pull it up and back. Pin it in place.
Go to the other side and do the same thing.
Continue working around your head until all of the curls are pinned in place. - Use rhinsestone hair pins or barrettes for decoration and added security.
- Finish with a light layer of hairspray.
- This style is easiest with layered hair rather than all-one-length.
- You may hairspray each place where the pin will go before you insert the pin. This will help the pin stay in place.
- If your hair is heavy, use two pins and create and X to hold each curl, Making sure to leave enough of the ends to conceal the pins.
- You don't have to pin the back up. You can let it hang down to create a longer look.
- A little back-combing may be needed to keep the fullness in the top and crown.
- If a tendrill escapes you and hangs down, it's OK. This adds to the natural look.
- Too much combing or manipulation will lose the natural-curly look and cause an overly 'done' appearance.
