How to Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes, and Contests in the 21st Century - Book Review

How to Win Lotteries, Sweepstakes, and Contests in the 21st Century, written by Steve Ledoux, is a comprehensive book covering in great detail the wide variety of factors involved not only in winning games of chance, but in nearly every other aspect, as well.

Though written in a friendly and helpful tone, the initial pages of one sweepstakes winning story after another might be found to be a bit too annoying, and you may find yourself wishing the author could just cut to the chase. However, some may find these stories to be uplifting. Either way, it is worth taking the time to weed through the incessant cheerleading interspersed throughout the book.

Though you may find it to contain a bit too much hype, and some may see some of the author's techniques as going a bit overboard, there is a plethora of information within the books two hundred and twenty-three pages. It continues to go into thorough detail on the different types of games, along with offering resources for a myriad of situations (though since this book is copyrighted in the year 2000, some of these could potentially be outdated), tips on legalities, along with interesting historical references, facts and figures, and so on.

The author's own personal experience is integrated throughout the book, which can be found helpful by someone who is interested in the trade... And although the author brings the attitude that one should look at this as only a hobby, he affirms that winnings are legally considered to be income and should be treated as such, and offers helpful tips in this area, as well.

All in all, it seems that just about anyone with an interest in sweepstaking or other games of chance could find something helpful within the pages of this book. It is an extremely useful reference tool, and even if one has difficulty getting through those first few pages, you will be glad you read it by the end of the book.
