Last Minute Gift Ideas for Moms and Sons

I know this would never happen, but it’s just possible that you’re not exactly done Christmas shopping yet. Or, maybe you’ve finished shopping for your family, but you have forgotten to get yourself something from them! (Am I the only who does this?) Fear not! There are some wonderful gifts out there for you and for your sons, and you can still get them in time for Christmas!

If you’re shopping for yourself, I can’t recommend Café Press highly enough. Personally, I love their knitting products, but I also always have a hard time choosing from their “mom” collection. Their Mom Products run the gamut from coffee mugs to t-shirts to tote bags to magnets, and many more besides. There are gifts appropriate for new moms, seasoned moms, and grandmothers! You will surely find many things to love and gift!

Recommending for our boys is a little bit more difficult, only because boys are so different, but there are some gifts that are surefire winners for most boys. Legos top that list. Lego has introduced its first board games this year, and there will be a few under our tree this year! I’m especially excited about the LEGO Minotaurus Game (3841) in the Amazon store. My comparison shopping assures me that it is the best price on the web (as of this writing), and both its theme and its content are sure to appeal to many boys!

If your son still has not entered the world of Percy Jackson, get ready for a treat! The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Paperback Boxed Set (Books 1-3)is the perfect way to introduce your son to the young hero! The value is incomparable, and he’ll fall in love with reading all over again!

For older boys, and if your budget allows it, I really can’t recommend a Kindle Wireless Reading Device, Wi-Fi, Graphite, 6enough. I bought mine at $259, and have never regretted it. The newest generation is sleeker, more powerful, and more than $100 cheaper! The gray styling is sure to appeal to boys. If your son is in high school, he will get more mileage out of his Kindle than you would ever guess. With so many books available in the public domain (millions!), you will end up saving money not purchasing much of your son’s required reading. For some reason, reading is more fun on the Kindle, meaning if you have a reluctant reader, he’ll be more likely to do his work if he can do it electronically. I will never give up my physical books, but if I could, I would buy a Kindle for everyone I know!

These are just a few general ideas to get you thinking. If you have others, please head over to the BellaOnline Sons forum to share them; we’d all love to benefit!
