Looking for a no fuss project your preschooler can do independently? Try setting them up with one of these super easy craft projects!

1. Paper chains. Paper chains are fun to make any time of year, not just around the holidays. Choose colors that correspond to the season (pastels for spring, red, white, and blue for Independence Day, or orange and black for Halloween). To make this project easier for little ones, cut the strips of paper ahead of time and stick precut strips of tape on the side of the table for kids to grab.

2. Paper towel tunnel. Next time you finish a roll of paper towels, save the empty tube for your child. Let them decorate it with stickers, markers, and glitter. Encourage them to send their toy cars through it again and again.

3. Paper letters. Cut letter shapes from cardstock or poster board and have kids decorate them with crayons or finger-paint. Hang the letters up along a hallway or in your child's room to create a homemade alphabet chart.

4. Trace their hands. Capitalize on your preschooler's growing interest in their body. Trace their hands on paper so they can decorate them. They can turn the handprints into turkeys, make gifts for grandparents, or just paint the nails with marker “nail polish”.

5. Make napkin rings. Cut a paper towel tube into rings. Cover the rings with foil or paper and ask your preschooler to decorate them to use at dinner that evening.

6. Paper pals. Cut out paper dolls and simple clothes and let your child color them. An empty decorated tissue box makes a nice "house" to store the dolls in.

7. Paper bags. Provide kids with paper bags, scraps of construction paper, fabric, ribbon, pompoms, and wiggly eyes and let them make puppets.

8. Big crayons. This is a great use for old crayons. Just peel off the paper, break them into small pieces and put them in an old muffin tin or foil muffin liners. Bake them in a 350 degree oven until melted. This only takes a few minutes, so watch carefully. Once cooled, the crayons can be used for coloring or making rubbings of various objects.
