I was recently asked to review an impressive new invention produced by a group of women entrepreneurs who develop and market easy-to-use personal care products.
The New Basics Hair Coloring Brush is a reusable applicator to which you add your favorite hair coloring mixture. I used it to apply a brightening solution to my hair and found it easy to use. I poured my preparation into the specially designed disposable liner. There is room for four ounces of color, enough for a full application for most users. The applicator was virtually drip and mess free while allowing an even and controlled flow. The brush-teeth of the applicator are used to comb the preparation throughout the hair. I didn’t even feel the need for gloves. The Hair Coloring Brush comes in a size that fits your hand, is easy to handle and is available in six designer shades to compliment any décor.

As a result of my personal tests with the Hair Coloring Brush I can recommend it for:
· Use in applying any liquid, permanent hair color mixture as a first-time application.
· The application of semi-permanent hair color since this type of color can usually be applied to the entire length of the hair with each use.
· Applying a highlighting solution to specific areas of your hair to create highlights or streaks.
However, I cannot recommend the Brush for:
· The use in retouch applications of permanent hair color. The recommended length of new growth for retouching is not more than three-quarters of an inch. (Click here for further explanation.) Overlapping of color applications can cause uneven tone and damage to the hair.
In summation, when used within certain boundaries, the New Basics Hair Coloring Brush is a convenient and useful tool and even fun in contrast to the old methods.
