Stop and Shop Low Carb Cookies

In a move which makes low carbers VERY happy, Stop and Shop's bakery now carries a selection of low carb cookies! They're pretty tasty, too! Each is about 2 1/2 inches in diameter and quite "fluffy". In general, our tasters gobbled these all up with enjoyment.

First, the oatmeal raisin. It was fluffy with a good texture, and small raisin bits. Raisins are pretty sweet so instead of using giant raisins, there are just slivers of them in this low carb version. While you sort of miss the big, gooey raisins of typical cookies at first, the flavor is still quite good. 4g/cookie.

Next, the chocolate chip. Again, this is not a flat cookie, it is very fluffy and rich. So these are more like brownie bar shapes than thin cookie shapes. They are very satisfying! The chocolate chip has good, solid chunks of chocolate in it. We know that sugar-free chocolate tastes PERFECT now that Splenda exists and this is no exception. The flavor is great. There are little crispies in the cookie which give it a nice texture. This is my favorite of the three. 2g/cookie.

Third, a chocolate fudge cookie with white chocolate chunks in it. For some resaon, some people taste a sugar-alcoholy hint in this one. Not that it's bad, but it's there. I can't seem to taste that myself, but I personally am not a huge "chocolate cookie" fan. So it tasted good to me, but I would much rather eat a bunch of the chocolate chip cookies vs these chocolate fudge ones. 2g/cookie.

Still, whichever style of cookie you enjoy, one of these will probably be great for you. If you shop in a Stop and Shop, it's easy enough to pick up a container or two of these while you go through the bakery shop, and share them with your family and friends! There's a perfect treat for the end of a meal, if you're in a mood for sweets.

UPDATE: I haven't seen these low carb bakery cookies in a Stop and Shop in a while. I'm afraid that they might have discontinued them. If you spot these cookies, please contact me using the link below to let me know!
