What If You Never Used The Scarcity Approach?

Buy Now. Gone in Three Hours. Never again Training Course. You know the rest. It seems to me that if you really believe in abundance and that ideas are limitless and possibilities for new ventures, products and services are all around us then whatís the deal with driving the scarcity thing so hard? Scarcity is based in fear and I call foul on tactics that are founded in fear. Thereís just something wrong with it.

So you offer a great package but itís only available until midnight for only 12 people. Well guess what, midnight comes and the next morning I get a surprise email in my box that proclaims that you have somehow magically found more space for me to attend your program.
Iím losing respect for this and I donít think Iím alone. We like you and want your products but we donít want to be driven by fear, not anymore. Iíve finally come to realize that youíll come back again with another offer, and another three hour fire sale.

To be fair, I will admit that Iíve been on the responding end of the only 3 hours left madness. Iíve played the game and in some cases it was fun to think that I would get a never again offered, gone for eternity deal. The problem is it was not really gone for eternity. I would have felt special if it was. I took action and made it in under the wire and shoot, the wire was extended!

Think about it. You have a great product that helps people, because thatís what you do right? Help people? Why would you spend so much time, money and talent creating a product only to offer it once and then take it away?
Scarcity is fear. Abundance is life. What if you tell people that youíre their training coach and you want to be with them for the long haul? You promise that youíll keep creating great swicky lags to meet their every need.

If you do have a limited offer, itís really limited. Gone. FOREVER. Thatís real and authentic marketing. Letís make a shift from here today gone tomorrow, to here for always and we have more where that came from. Please stop the madness.
