Carroll County, Tennessee is in the northwest portion of Tennessee. The county was created in 1821 from the Chickasaw Indian Cession. The boundary counties are Weakley, Henry, Benton, Decatur, Henderson, Madison and Gibson. It was named after Governor William Carroll. Carroll County has some historic landmarks recognized by the state of Tennessee. They are First Cumberland Presbyterian Church-McKenzie, Hillsman House of Trezevant, Long Rock Methodist Episcopal Church, South of Huntingdon, and the McKenzie Depot.
