Dear Success Seeker – A Review

I enjoy reading words of wisdom from women who have faced challenges and found the courage, strength and inner motivation to succeed. That’s what I found in a wonderful collection of letters compiled by author Michele R. Wright and written by outstanding women who shared their success strategies.

Dear Success Seeker – Wisdom From Outstanding Women by Michele R. Wright, Ph D is a powerful collection of the inner beliefs that motivate and inspire over 80 successful women to succeed and thrive in life. A common thread among all of them - we have choices. We can choose wisely or, we can allow ourselves to become discouraged and defeated.

Each entry in this book is written as a letter to: Dear Success Seeker. You know, the success seeker in all of us who wants to move forward, better ourselves and help make the world a better place for the generations that follow.

Each Success Seeker letter is only a page to two long and yet they are filled with from the heart pearls of wisdom. It’s like getting advice from a good friend. The letters are genuine and written sincerely to support us on our success journey.

Here is an example of five women who contributed “Dear Success Seeker” letters:

Marva N. Collins, Founder Marva Collins Preparatory School –
“Our character is the premise of who we decide to be, and not to live on the opinions of others.”

Marian Wright Edelman, J.D. – Founder of Children’s Defense Fund –
“Choose your friends carefully.”

Billie Jean King, Tennis Icon and Founder of the Women’s Tennis Association –
“Life is full of experiences, and experience is priceless. Use your life’s experiences to give back and positively impact the lives of others.”

Joyce Meyer, New York Times Bestselling Author –
“I have also learned over the years that if you want to be successful, you have to give.”

Patricia S. Schroeder, Former Senior Woman in U.S. Congress; President and Founder of the Association of American Publishers –
“I believe you are only as good as your word. Character and integrity are key if you want people to trust you.”

What did I gather from this collection of letters? We all have the inner power to create success, if we choose to use that power. Life is filled with choices and it is how you choose to handle life’s choices that will determine your power to succeed.

There are many religious overtones in this book as many of these successful women used their beliefs to guide them toward their life’s mission. I highly recommend Dear Success Seeker – Wisdom From Outstanding Women by Michele R. Wright, Ph D if you are looking for both a practical and spiritual guide to success. This book could be especially useful for a young woman beginning on her own success journey.
