This time out, I have Sizzle and Burn
(St. Martin's, received from publisher) by Alexis Grant. First in the 'Men of Delta Force' series, Ryan Mason is reunited with former love Mia Austin when he's gone undercover to keep her safe: Mia is an expert in weapons technology, and there are a lot of very bad people in the world who'd like her to be working for them, whether she wants to or not. Mia is torn when they meet again, between annoyance at the distraction he creates for her, and desire for a second chance with the one who got away. Ryan will do anything to keep her safe, even running headlong into danger himself, and he'll get plenty of chances to do just that. Mia may not forgive him, though, if he's hurt because of her. I liked that Mia is smart and capable, and it's nearly impossible to resist Ryan, who's larger than life. This promises to be a very, very good series. I'm looking forward to the next book and borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this series-starter. I think you'll enjoy it, too.
Until next time, happy reading!
