Phantom Evil Review

Renowned paranormal investigator Adam Harrison formed a secret government unit consisting of six men and women who each specialized in a particular psychic talent. Their sole purpose was to determine whether criminal activity in a particular location was caused by paranormal influence or evil men and women. In this case they were sent to New Orleans, Louisiana.

Headed by Jackson Crow, who is still reeling from the recent murders of two of his team members, the newly formed team must quickly come together, while Crow must continue to work through his grief while becoming familiar with the new group of investigators.

Harrison has brought in Angela Hawkins to help Crow with his new assignment. She is a police officer in Virginia who uses her special talents in her current job, but answers the call to New Orleans. Four other members join them to determine whether Regina Holloway, wife of popular state Senator David Holloway jumped or was pushed from the second floor balcony of their historic home in the French Quarter.

Regina had recently lost her seven-year-old son Jacob in an accident. Heartbroken, she had been unable to fully recover from the tragic loss when she fell to her death.

As Jackson Crow and his team move into the Holloway mansion to begin their investigation, they immediately realize there is an evil presence in the home as well as paranormal activity that needs explained in the light of the number of deaths in the house over the years. Death especially involving original owner Madden C. Newton. They also found those closest to the Senator had ties with a sect called Church of Christ Arisen and also with the Aryans.

Phantom Evil was written by bestselling author Heather Graham who has become known for her incredible stories with over one hundred novels to her credit. Basing this particular story in post Katrina New Orleans gave her the opportunity to add local color to the haunting mix. The storyline is strong and the pace never falters as Graham leads readers through a maze of twists, turns, and unexpected other-worldly occurrences.

Her characters are strong and believable in their roles. The reader will soon begin to feel the atmosphere within the mansion, and what it might feel like to actually live, and sleep, within the confines of a house that seems to experience plenty of ghostly action.

Phantom Evil will keep readers engaged and on the edge of their seat as the story moves smoothly to its unexpected conclusion. This is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good paranormal thriller.
