Automatic Ice Cream Makers are readily available, and by storing the insert in the freezer, ice cream or sorbet can be ready in 20-30 minutes of unsupervised time. Mixing the ingredients takes only a few minutes. This recipe makes enough to fill 2 automatic ice cream makers (1 quart capacity). If only one is available, the leftover mixture can be refrigerated until time to make the second batch.
1 cup crushed pineapple, with juice
1 6 oz. can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate
3 cups sugar
6 cups fresh peaches, peeled, pitted, and cut into 1/4" dice
- Place the pineapple, orange juice concentrate, lemonade concentrate, and sugar in a blender container; process until smooth.
- Stir the mixture into the peaches.
- Place 1/2 of the mixture into the bowl of an automatic ice cream maker and run until frozen.
- Transfer to an airtight container and store in the freezer.
