Automatic Ice Cream Makers are readily available, and by storing the insert in the freezer, ice cream or sorbet can be ready in 20-30 minutes of unsupervised time. Mixing the ingredients takes only a few minutes. This recipe makes enough to fill 2 automatic ice cream makers (1 quart capacity). If only one is available, the leftover mixture can be refrigerated until time to make the second batch.
