Brick Stitch Pumpkin Pin Pattern

It's getting close enough to Halloween to start planning some Halloween projects. This pin is a fun accessory for Halloween.
You can either stitch it to a backing and then stitch the backing to a pin back or use it as a pendant. In the size 15 Delicas it would work for earrings, in size 11s, it's a bit big to use as earrings.
What I did was bead a separate piece in odd count peyote then square stitched it to the back, sandwiching my pin finding between that piece and the beadwork.

Below shows the beads I square stitched into place on one side.

If you use that method, and want a stiffer pin, a coat of clear nail polish on the back works as a glue to stick the beads together into a stiffer form.
They look like peyote patterns because peyote and brick stitch are both offset by half. The foundation row for brick stitch is the longest vertical column of beads in the pattern. In this case, it's the 2 beads to the right of center. Print the graph than turn it 90 degrees for a standard brick stitch graph.
Blank graphs are to graph your own or you could have a child graph one that you could stitch up for a grandparent or favorite teacher.
For my example I used Delica size 11 beads in the following colors:
DB0161- Opaque Rainbow Orange
DB27- Teal Metallic Iris which is actually more green than blue. It's a great dark shiny color
DB10- Opaque Black

I hope you enjoy this pattern. There are a lot of patterns available for free on this site, and I also have some themed pattern sets available for sale on Etsy. They include some '80s themed bracelets, some cute earring patterns and some mandala type patterns. You can find those here
