In the meantime, I've got a few giveaway books this month, and have started off in the forum with Susan Krinard's

And, as promised, I have the last of the February releases and the first of the March romances for you this time out. First up is Jerri Corgiat's 
Sing Me Home (Onyx). Jonathan Van Castle, country music star, has stumbled upon Lilac O'Malley when he's trying to hide out from a mob of fans in her sleepy hometown. Lil's been living in the past since the death of her husband, and Jon's so involved with his career, he doesn't realize his ex is abusing his kids. There's a match made in heaven, right? Wrong. Jon does spend way too much time away from Lil and his kids, and yet Lil falls for him anyway. His ex is vindictive, and her family is huge and underfoot all the time. Maybe a little too involved for the reading mood I was in when I picked this one up. I didn't like it--Jon nearly falls under the TSTL category normally reserved for heroines, and I had a really hard time believing a smart woman like Lil would fall so easily for him. This one's earned only two of Cupid's five arrows.
Next is Sasha Lord's 
Under a Wild Sky (Signet). Ronin McTaver is on his own now, having seen his enemy slay his entire family, and is forced to take refuge in the Loch Nidean Forest, where no man is known to have survived. Kalial, princess of the forest, has no intention of letting him survive either, but when he takes her prisoner, her friends in the forest must let him pass through unharmed. But Ronin believes she is a young boy, and Kalial has no intention of remaining with him. And aside from defeating Ronin's enemy, there is a treasure that both hold clues to finding. Interesting story, with the paranormal skills of the heroine, and the Scottish setting, but something kept me from loving it, though I can't put my finger on any one thing. I'm giving it three arrows.
Finally, we have Mary Janice Davidson's 
Undead and Unwed (Berkley). Betsy Taylor, aka Elizabeth Taylor, secretary, has had a really rotten day. First she got fired from her job, and then she gets hit by a car and killed. Except she doesn't stay dead--she's become a vampire. For me, strike one. Strike two is the chick lit tone of the story. Strike three is the ending, which I wouldn't classify as a romance novel ending. If you're looking for a light vampire read, you may enjoy this. I'll pass. It gets only one arrow.
