Every year I like to tap into that creative vibe that many of us experience this time of the year. Get your imagination and crafting skills in high gear and make a few or all of the following home made holiday gifting ideas. It is always fun and surprising to the recipient to receive a uniquely crafted gift. Let's face it. Those presents we buy in the retail stores aren't as personal when there are probably many others receiving that very same gift. This holiday season use one or all of the beauty and body care recipe's here to create a special home made holiday gifts for everyone on your gift giving list. Most of the home made gift ideas included here are inexpensive and easy to make at home.
The ingredients are available at local health food stores or crafting shops. Purchase the decorative containers and baskets at local dollar stores to save even more money. Feel free to add your favorite essential oils. A few favorites that smell great mixed into these recipes are Rose, Lavender, Geranium, Bergamot, Sandalwood, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang.
Jasmine Scented Bubble Bath
Ingredients
˝ cup shampoo
3/4 cup water
˝ tsp. salt
15 drops jasmine essential oil
Bowl
Mixing spoon
Decorative glass or plastic container
Mix ingredients together in large bowl. Pour into the decorative container.
Bath Crystals
Ingredients
Seal salt
Jasmine essential oil
Decorative container with lid
Add 4 to 5 teaspoons of the essential oil to the sea salt in a bowl. Mix together completely. Now take the ingredients and pour into your decorative plastic or glass container and cap. Add a pretty red bow for a festive touch.
Scentsational Bath Salts
Ingredients
3 tablespoons of sea salt
3 tablespoons baking soda
6 drops of essential oil (Jasmine, Patchouli, Rose, Ylang Ylang,)
Myrrh
Decorative Jar
Add sea salt, baking soda and the oils to decorative jar. Take the
decorative jar in both hands and shake the mixture until throughly mixed.
Relaxing Epsom Salt Bath
Ingredients
2 tablespoons Epsom Salt
1 tablespoon Sea Salt
3 tablespoons baking soda
8 drops essential oils
Decorative glass jar
Take the essential oil and add it to sea salt, baking soda, Epsom salt in the jar. Shake the jar gently to mix. Use the salts by adding to running water in the bath tub.
Fizzy Bath Salts
Ingredients
3 tablespoons sea salt
3 tablespoons baking soda
1 tablespoon citric acid
8 drops essential oils
Decorative jar
Add sea salt, baking soda, citric acid and oils to jar. Gently shake the mixture.
Place the finished home made gift goodies into cute decorative jars. Arrange in a basket and tie with festive ribbons. Add a gift card and present home made gifts to the recipient.
