Each chapter contains personal stories that cover life experiences from the worst to the mildest- whether it is a heart-wrenching trial or just not feeling right. In her own personal stories Debora relates shortcomings and feelings and then explains how she climbed her way out of each problem.
The size of book is handy - small so you can fit it into most purses - with short chapters making it easy to get some inspiration while waiting in the doctor's waiting room or in the carpool lane.
More Beauty Less Beast is divided into four sections that move the reader through the process of transforming her own inner ogre.
Ms. Coty begins with eight chapters dealing with Outer Beauty. Many Christian women's books tend to skip this part - as if appearance isn't important to the serious Christian woman. If we are honest, we know that what we see in the mirror can be a big stumbling block.
The next nine chapters cover Inner Beauty, with chapters about such things as how to take a spiritual retreat, conquering guilt and powerful prayer.
Her humor shows itself again in the title of section three. Undergarments by Fruit of the Spirit (Not the Loom!) contains nine chapters dealing with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
Finally section 4 deals with reaching out. Beautifying My World is eight chapters dealing with how we relate to the world
More Beauty Less Beast is a great tool for realizing the beauty that God sees and overcoming that beastly thing within us all. It is an easy read and keeps you entertained from beginning to end. However, Ms. Coty doesn't let you just skim through. Each chapter begins with a bible verse and ends with Taming the Beast questions that bring it all home, making you think seriously. It is tempting to read this book in one sitting but I suggest taking one chapter at a time, spending time in contemplation and taking it to heart.
I received this book from Litfuse Publicity Group for a fair and honest review.
