A migraine can usually be eliminated through natural nutritional solutions. More than 25 million Americans, mostly women, suffer from migraines. Episodes may last for hours or days, often leaving the victim bedridden and unable to fully function. The symptoms of migraine headaches are many, but they always include recurring intense throbbing pain generally on one side of the head.
Though the causes are not fully known, migraines seem to be associated with inflammation triggered by stress, hormonal imbalance or certain foods like chocolate, caffeine, alcohol, MSG and various medications, including birth control pills.
