Red, White, & Blueberry Spinach Salad Recipe

If youíre looking for a great salad to carry on the patriotic theme of Red, White, and Blue, either for Independence day in the US or holidays throughout the world where the colors of their flag are red, white, and blue, why not try this beautiful Red, White, and Blueberry Spinach Salad. The spinach, of course, is green, but the initial presentation can be very patriotic by piling the berries on top of the spinach mixture and drizzling the white yogurt-based dressing over the berries. Just as guests are ready to eat, the salad can be tossed.

This delicious salad is light, low calorie, colorful, and very nutritious. Itís also quick and easy to put together and takes advantage of the fabulous fresh berries that are available during the summer. Even if itís not important to emphasize the patriotic theme, this is a great salad to serve along with grilled meats or poultry, and is pretty enough to entice guests at a backyard barbecue or get-together. Add grilled chicken for a main dish salad along with crusty, freshly baked bread.
