Using PLR Content on a Blog

Many bloggers aren’t familiar with the term PLR (Private Label Rights), and if they are familiar with what PLR is, they aren’t certain if they should use it on their blog.

Private Label Rights (PLR) is content you can purchase to use on your blog. You can buy sets of articles, e-books and more under various license agreements for use that is affordable. It is affordable because more than one individual can purchase the set. How affordable PLR is also depends on the number of the sets available. Some PLR content providers limit the number of licenses on a package to make the content more valuable. The purchased content would then have less competition on the web.

So, knowing that you aren’t the only one purchasing the PLR is important. One thing allowed on most PLR licenses is the right to rewrite or repackage the content as your own with your name (but not as PLR for resale). Always read the license to see what the PLR seller is allowing.

While writer’s block may be one of the reasons a blogger would consider PLR, understand that your PLR is more valuable to your website if you rewrite the content. So, plan on rewording the content. Check for duplicates online after rewriting by using a service like Copyscape. This ensures the content is unique which makes it more desirable.

Market a Niche Blog Topic

If you are enthusiast about a topic and want to set up a blog to market products or services, PLR can help you get a blog online in no time and allow you to plan additional content later.

Add Authority to a Topic on a Blog

If there is a topic you are not well-versed in and you want an accurate article written by someone with a more thorough knowledge on the topic, PLR could be the answer.

Add a Feature or Series to a Blog

If you want to add a weekly feature or series to your blog in detail that you do not have the time for, a PLR package on a specific topic could fill in your editorial calendar.

Whether you need to add occasional content to your site for time constraints or want talk food but can’t write recipes, purchasing PLR is affordable and legal.
